LEGAL

Terms, plainly stated.

What this tool is

A free instant audit that reports measured evidence with recommendations. Results are guidance based on public documentation, not ranking guarantees, and never a substitute for professional advice.

Fair use

Audit sites you own or have permission to test. Don't use the tool to harass, overload or probe sites abusively, rate limits (20 audits/hour) and abuse blocks apply. Private staging servers and localhost targets are rejected automatically to keep the shared service safe for everyone.

No warranties

Provided as-is. Scores estimate on-page signals; they are not Google metrics and don't predict rankings or AI mentions.

Changes to these terms

If the tool gains accounts, storage or paid options in the future, these terms will be updated first and the changes summarized in plain language at the top of this page. Continued use after changes means acceptance.

Acceptable use examples

Good: auditing your own site weekly, checking a client's staging server with permission, comparing before-and-after a redesign. Not allowed: hammering someone else's server, republishing someone's full audit as your own work, or feeding the API into spam infrastructure.

Using the site

You may use the audit and the free tools for personal, educational and commercial purposes, including client work, as long as you follow these terms. You are responsible for how you use the results and for having permission to audit the sites you submit.

Intellectual property

The site's design, text, code and tools belong to their owner or are used under licence. You may quote short passages with attribution and a link. Output you create with the tools, such as a robots.txt file or schema markup generated from your own input, is yours to use freely.

Third-party content and links

The site links to external resources such as Google documentation. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or practices. A link is a pointer, not an endorsement.

Advertising

The site may display advertising in future. Where it does, ads will be labelled, will not be part of any tool's results and are described in the privacy policy. We are not responsible for the products or claims of advertisers.

Accuracy and availability

We work to keep guidance accurate and tools reliable, but search engines change their behaviour, and software can contain mistakes. The site and its tools are provided without a promise of uninterrupted availability. We may change, suspend or remove features at any time.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from the use of, or inability to use, the site and its tools, including loss of traffic, revenue or data. Decisions you make about your website are your own, and you should test important changes before applying them. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be limited by law where you live.

Blocking and enforcement

We may limit or block access that harms the service or other websites, including excessive automated use or attempts to bypass safeguards. Site owners may block the audit bot at any time using robots.txt, as described on the bot information page.

Your responsibilities

What the results mean

Findings describe what was observed on public pages at the time of the check. They are guidance based on public documentation and general good practice. A finding does not mean a page will be penalised, and a clean report does not mean a page will rank. Search engines use many signals that no outside tool can measure.

Accounts, payments and changes

There are currently no accounts or payments. If paid options are added in future, they will be described clearly before you are asked to pay, and these terms will be updated first. We may update these terms from time to time, and the latest version is always the one on this page.

Ending your use

You can stop using the site at any time. There is nothing to cancel and no data to delete. If you break these terms, we may restrict your access to the service.

Plain-language definitions

The site means this website, including its pages and guides. The audit means the tool that fetches a public web address and reports findings. The free tools means the browser-based utilities listed on the tools page. You means anyone using the site. These words are only here to keep the rest of the terms short.

If part of these terms does not apply

If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable in your location, the rest still applies. Failure to enforce a term on one occasion does not waive it. These terms are the whole agreement between you and the site about its use, and they replace any earlier understanding about the same subject.

Feedback you send us

If you send suggestions or reports, we may use them to improve the site without owing you payment or credit, though we are happy to thank you if you wish. Do not send confidential information in a feedback message.

Responsible use of automation

If you want to run the audit from a script, a spreadsheet or another program, please keep the volume small and respect the published rate limits. Large scale or commercial automation should be agreed with us first through the contact page. Automated use that ignores limits, hides its identity or tries to avoid protections may be blocked without notice, because it affects everyone else who relies on the free service.

Notices and updates

Important changes to these terms will be shown at the top of this page for a reasonable period. We do not collect contact details, so we cannot email you about changes. Please check this page occasionally if you rely on the service for professional work, and contact us if anything is unclear.

Summary in one paragraph

Use the tools honestly, only on sites you are allowed to check, and do not overload the service. The results are guidance, not guarantees. We try to keep everything accurate and available but cannot promise it, and our responsibility is limited as far as the law allows. Questions are welcome.

Examples of good and poor use

Good use includes checking your own site after a release, preparing a report for a client who has asked you to review their website, and using the generators to create files for your projects. Poor use includes running audits against sites you have no connection to in order to cause trouble, copying whole guides to publish as your own, or trying to access private networks through the audit. When in doubt, ask us first.

Contact about these terms

Questions about what is allowed are welcome before you build on the tool, use the contact page and describe your use case. Most legitimate uses, including client reporting with attribution, are fine.

Quick answers

Can I use audit screenshots in client reports? Yes, with attribution. The numbers are measured on public pages, so citing them is fair use.

Can I resell audits as my own service? The hosted free tier is for direct use. If you want white-label reports, ask first, the usual answer is yes with attribution.
